NWAC Names CaCoa Chatman Athlete of the Week

Northwest Athletic Conference

Athlete of the Week

Cacoa Chatman, SPSCC Sophmore - Guard

St. Anthony High School, Long Beach, CA

Chatman was highly instrumental in the Clippers’ win over 8th-ranked Lower Columbia with a huge three at the buzzer to help lift South Puget Sound  (4-0, 14-4) to the top of the West Region’s standings. This past week he averaged 20 points and 4.5 assists per game to go with 2 rebounds and 4 steals.

"Coa put together a very strong week, and has been our heart and soul during this string of wins," said Clipper head coach Andrew Green. "Our game with Lower Columbia was a hard fought battle both ways, but we were fortunate enough to get out of the gym with a win because of Coa’s buzzer beater from the three point line. He has saved us 3 times this year, late in the game, with everything on the line.  His performance has been steady all year, and was the MVP of the Dale Bates tournament at Lane. He has put together a body of work this year that ranks him as one of the NWAC’s top point guards."

CONGRATULATIONS, COA!
