Shortly After Clippers Win, Tournament Canceled...

The NWAC Basketball Championship Tournament is...back off again!

NWAC announced that the remainder of the tournament has been canceled.

Shortly before this announcement, the Clippers defeated Shoreline 86-82. The team put forth a stellar effort, getting off to an early lead in the first quarter, but Shoreline kept pace. Tied at 18, the Clippers came back from a time out and set to work, taking advantage of a missed Shoreline layup to pull ahead thanks to a 3 point shot by Big Ben. The Clippers would maintain the lead up until half time ending with a ten point lead of 53-43.

In the second half, it was do or be done for the Clippers as they worked together to put away their first win of the tournament. Sophomores Anthony Braggs and Ben Janssan marked double-doubles in the win. Braggs putting up 18 points and 11 rebounds and Janssan with 19 points of his own with 11 rebounds. CaCoa Chatman had 5 assists on the day with 10 points, and 2 steals. And fellow sophomore, Branden Bunn reigned in 35 points and was the highest scoring player of the day.

Three cheers for our Clippers Men's Basketball team, who despite the set backs, cancelations, and relocations; brought their A-game to the court. Hip, hip, hooray!
