The SPSCC Women's Basketball Team held their annual awards banquet on 3/10/20 where atheletes were honored for their achievements. 

Let's hear it for Tracy Abesamis, SPSCC's Most Inspirational Player of the Year award recipient! The Las Vegas Freshman guard made her mark this year as a Clipper, playing in 25 games for a total of 335 minutes, averaging 2 points per game and 49 points over the season.

On both sides of the ball, Tracy was an asset this season, shooting for 23.8% from the field and 14.6% from the three point range. On the defensive side of the ball, Tracy brought down 11 rebounds, offered up 15 assists, and got away with 3 steals!

Congratulations are also in order for Jaysa Brandis who was named SPSCC's Defensive Player of the Year! Jaysa, a homegrown PNW freshman guard from Timberline High School, has been an absolute rock star all season long!

Jaysa started in 10 of her 24 games played, racking up a total of 749 minutes of play, averaging 31.2 minutes per game. Jaysa dominated the boards this season grabbing 112 rebounds overall (72 defensive, 40 offensive), 28 steals, and 5 blocks!

Other awards were bestowed upon Kaylee Schow who received Coach Moore's Annual Anchor award. The Anchor Award recipient is that one player who shows unyielding team support. Always cheering their teammates on whether they are in practice, on the court, healing from injury, or on the bench. Hip, hip, hooray for Kaylee!

Sophomore Keilani Brown was named SPSCC's Most Valuable Player for the Clippers 2019-2020 season. During the 2019-2020 season the dynamic 5'11 sophomore started in 22 of her 23 games overall. The fierce forward nabbed 210 total rebounds, snuck away with 22 steals, and denied opposing shooters with 7 blocks. This season, she scored a total of 329 points for an average of 14.3 points per game, shooting 138-325 from field goal range, and racking up 18 assists to her fellow Clippers teammates.
