Chatman's Buzzer Beater Lifts Clippers to Victory

Down 1 point with 5.8 seconds remaining, Ben Janssan secured the missed Olympic College free throw and passed the ball to fellow sophomore CaCoa Chatman who dribbled the length of the court for the game-winning layup as time expired to lift the Clippers to the 70-69 victory in their home opener.  Trailing most of the game, the Clippers began chipping away in the final minutes thanks to big baskets by Chatman and James Husband and all around solid team defense.  Anthony Braggs had a huge game going 3-4 from beyond the arc, finishing with 17 points/13 rebounds.  CaCoa Chatman had 13 points and a game high 7 assists.  James Husband added 15 points, and Janssan 16 of his own.   South Puget Sound returns home Wednesday as they open up West Region play against the Tacoma Titans, with the women's game at 6pm, and the men to follow at 8pm.
