Mens Soccer Falls in Home Opener to Portland

Bement Lester got the Clippers on the board in the 4th minute, but the lone goal was not enough as the Clippers fell in their home opener 2-1 to the visiting Portland Panthers.  In a back and forth match that held the 1-1 tie until early in the 2nd half, the Clippers placed 5 shots on goal, with freshman Rodrigo dos Santos having 2 of his own.  The Clippers hit the road this weekend as they take on Skagit Valley Friday and Peninsula College Saturday, returning for their next home match on Saturday September 7th as they take on Highline in their first western region match.
