Max Sampson was named head soccer coach and educational planner for South Puget Sound Community College on April 17, 2023. In his first season at the helm, Coach Sampson was voted the West Region co-coach of the year (2023) while guiding the Clippers to a 6-9-4 record.

Previously, Sampson was the head coach for Lane (2020, 2021, 2022), where he was voted the South Region coach of the year (2022) as Lane won the NWAC South Region championship and advanced to the quarterfinals. Sampson was head coach for Treasure Valley (2017, 2018, 2019) and assistant coach for Chemeketa (2013, 2014, 2015). Since 2017, his teams have produced 7 All-Academic, 21 All-Region, and 7 All-Star selections.

A native of Eugene, Oregon, Max received his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Oregon State University and a Master of Arts degree in Coaching and Athletics Administration from Concordia University Irvine. Coach Sampson holds a USSF National C License.
