Women's basketball opened up their 2019 season on the road Friday November 15th as they took on Whatcom Community College. In an offensive battle, the Clippers fell to the Orcas 108-72. Sophomores Jasmine Griffin and Lainee Grose led all Clippers in scoring with 27 and 24 points respectively. Griffin completed the double-double pulling down 11 rebounds on the night, with freshman Jaysa Brandis grabbing 9. In the Saturday game, the Clippers took on Skagit Valley, and were unable to overcome a slow start and fell 50-40 to the Cardinals. Griffin and Grose were again the high scorers with 12 and 10, and sophomore Keilani Brown pulled down a game high 14 rebounds. The Clippers will continue their pre-season schedule as they participate in the Linn-Benton Classic in Albany, OR 11/22-11/23.
