WBB Clippers Clipped by Raiders

The Clippers travelled north over the long weekend to face the Pierce Community College Raiders in their second match up of the season. When last these two teams met, the Clippers pulled off a 78-65 win over the visiting Raiders. Hoping for a repeat win this time around, the Clippers started out strong, outscoring the Raiders in the first half of play. The came back from half time with a hard hitting offense, putting up twenty five points in the third quarter and securing the win 69-65. 

Sophomore Guard Jasmine Griffin led the team in scoring with 18 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, and going 6 for 7 at the free throw line. Fellow sophomore Keilani Brown added another 17 points and 13 total rebounds. The shot for 73.7% from the free throw line, 32.4% from field goal range, and 29.2% from the 3-point arc. 

This Wednesday 2/19/20, the Clippers return to their borrowed home court at The Evergreen State College to face Highline, a team they narrowly defeated back in January by a score of 57-54. Tip off at 6:00pm.
