Clippers Win at Home in the Final Game of the Season

Clippers Win at Home in the Final Game of the Season

It was an auspicious weekend for the South Puget Sound Clippers as they hosted Grays Harbor in their final home game of the season. In addition to celebrating the successes of our sophomore athletes, the Clippers also celebrated a win over the Chokers 75-40.

The Clippers were in it to win it with an impressive start to the first quarter with sophomore Lainee Grose draining her first three-point bucket early on in the game, getting the Clippers on the board first. A steal from freshman Jaysa Brandis, set up sophomore Jasmine Griffin with an assist to fellow sophomore Keilani Brown for the layup. And there was no stopping them from there.

Jasmine Griffin had an outstanding game: 22 points, 11 assists, 4 steals, and 7 rebounds in the victory over the Chokers. Lainee Grose was unstoppable beyond the three point line, going 6-10. Keilani Brown attacked the boards for 19 rebounds and 17 points. With this, the Clippers added their sixth win of the conference, improving their record to 6-7! Congratulations on the win, ladies!

Next up the Clippers travel down south to Centralia on Wednesday 2/26 to face off against the number one Blazers (13-0 conference, 20-7 overall) in their final game of the season. Game starts at 6:00pm!
