Clippers Nominated for the Fifth Annual Thurston County Sports Awards

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Oct. 4, 2022, Sharay Trotter, Dakota Seddon, and Coach Kevin Schultz Nominated for the Fifth Annual Thurston County Sports Awards Oct. 4, 2022 – OLYMPIA, Wash., South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) congratulates student-athletes Sharay Trotter, Dakota Seddon, and Men's Soccer Coach Kevin Schultz for being nominated in the fifth annual Thurston County Sports Awards hosted by the Olympia & Beyond Sports Commission. The event honors local athletes, coaches, sports enthusiasts, and leaders in the community who motivate and inspire others.

Sharay Trotter has been nominated for the award of Women's Sports Star of the Year (College). Last season, Sharay led Clippers Women's Basketball in scoring, averaging 16.4 points a game and ranking seventh in the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) overall.

Dakota Seddon has been nominated for the award of Men's Sports Star of the Year (College). Alongside his achievements on the field as an athlete in Men's Soccer, Dakota received the 2021 Association of College Trustees (ACT) Transforming Lives Award.

Coach Kevin Schultz has been nominated for the award of Contributor of the Year. He brings nine years of coaching experience at the club, high school, and semi-pro levels to his first season as Head Coach of Men's Soccer at SPSCC.
