Men's Basketball Student-Athlete Jemoi Davis Presented With 2024 Outstanding Student Award

South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) presented men's basketball student-athlete Jemoi Davis with the 2024 Outstanding Student Award at this year's commencement ceremony.

Davis was one of two students nominated by staff and faculty to recognize their personal growth, academic achievement, and contributions to the college and community during their time at SPSCC. Davis was awarded a $500 scholarship from the SPSCC Foundation.

Davis graduated with an Associate in Science degree. He enjoyed being a student-athlete on the Clipper Men's Basketball team, playing in the Northwest Athletic Conference's (NWAC) Basketball Championships for two consecutive years. Outside of the classroom and off the court, Davis worked closely with SPSCC's Advising, Career & Transfer Center as an office assistant. He plans on transferring to a four-year college to continue his academic journey in the field of information technology. When reflecting on his time at SPSCC, Davis shared, "SPSCC has been one of the best experiences of my life with so much support and help when it comes to my career and education."
