2nd Half Surge Comes up Short on Sophomore Day

Dakota Seddon found the back of the net in the 70th minute, and SPS dominated the 2nd half in posession time, but the Pierce Raiders were able to escape with the 2-1 victory Saturday afternoon.  On an afternoon where SPSCC honored their 7 sophomores - Eddie Raymundo, Dominic Ceu Bik, Miguel Bravo, Bemnet Lester, Andy Aguirre, Kenny Zacarias, and Dawson Hall - Pierce jumped out to an early lead and then the two teams were in a back and forth battle for the rest of the 1st half.  Coming out of halftime the Raiders were able to capitalize on an early penalty kick to extend their lead to 2-0, but the Clippers were not going down without a fight.  Holding the ball in Pierce's half most of the 2nd half SPS saw chances by Saloum Malang and Trey Lopes fall just wide of the net before Seddon connected on his shot.  SPSCC ends their 2019 season Wednesday as they travel to Bellevue College for a 2:15pm match.
