The South Puget Sound men's soccer team had three players voted onto the NWAC West Region All-Star Team. Midfielders Yuta Shimazu and Dakota Seddon were joined by defender Joshua Coetzee in being named to the 17 player squad.
Shimazu and Seddon provided consistency for the Clippers, being the only two players to start all 14 games. Coetzee was also a steadfast player, anchoring the backline with the only games not started being games he missed due to injury.
Shimazu was tied for 20th in the league in shots with 24 and was second on the team with three goals. Seddon had one goal on the year and Coetzee had one assist.
"I'm proud of Yuta, Dakota, and Joshua on their selection to the All-Star team. All three of these players were a model of consistency throughout the season. Their hard work and dedication showed on and off the field" said head coach Jeremy Richtmyre.
The Clippers finished the year with an overall record of 2-12-1, missing out on the NWAC playoffs by one place. The trio of All-Stars will head up to Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, WA to play in the All-Star game on Sunday, November 14.
