Kevin Schultz chosen to lead SPSCC Men's Soccer

Kevin Schultz brings nine years of coaching experience to the South Puget Sound Community College men's soccer program. Coach Schultz has coached at the club, high school, and semi-pro levels before arriving at SPSCC. Over the past four seasons, Schultz has been the head coach of both the boy's and girl's soccer programs at Tenino High School.

Coach Schultz brings experience as a "program builder" from his time at Tenino High School, where he led the girl's program to its first state tournament appearance in eight years. In addition to the tournament appearance, Tenino also qualified for state in each of Schultz's four seasons at the helm and won the school's first district title. While serving as head coach of the boy's program, he built them from a win-less team to a state qualifier.

When asked what he sees for SPSCC men's soccer going forward, Schultz responded "I believe there is a great opportunity to grow the mens' program at SPSCC. Being in the Pacific Northwest between Seattle and Portland, the campus is right in the middle of a soccer hotbed which gives it an ideal situation to create success within the program. I am excited to share my love and passion for the game of soccer with the student-athletes and help guide these students as they grow into adults."

Coach Schultz has spent the last eight years working in education. He is a graduate of Western Governors University and currently teaches mathematics in the Tenino School District.
