
OLYMPIA, Wash. - Men's Soccer hosted Pierce College today and looked to rebound after a loss to Skagit Valley. Pierce started things early with a goal in the eighth minute to take a one-nil lead. South Puget Sound responded in the forty-fourth minute when Yuta Shimazu scored to tie the contest. Alonzo Ogaldez quickly tacked on a second goal with less than a minute remaining before halftime. The second half would see SPSCC continue the strong offensive showing, with Christian Mathuzima scoring on a pass from Cael Bergles in the seventy-fifth minute. Sophomore captain Joshua Coetzee scored on a free kick from near mid-field in the match's closing moments. The win marks the second time the Clippers have been victorious in regional play.
