
OLYMPIA, Wash. - Wednesday saw the first match-up between the visiting Tacoma Community College Trojans and the South Puget Sound Community College Clippers. The Clippers and Trojans came into the contest with eight and twelve points in west region play, respectively. The first twenty minutes of the match saw both teams make runs. Still, nothing materialized into goals until Tacoma broke the stalemate in the twenty-third minute. Tacoma would score four additional goals in the first half to enter halftime with a five-nil lead. The second half saw the Trojans post one goal in the fifty-sixth minute to cap off a six-nil victory. The Clippers battled but could not overcome the shot differential as the Trojans attempted fourteen more shots on goal.
