Padasdao Leads Clippers to Road Victory Over Highline

DES MOINES, Wash. - The South Puget Sound Community College women's basketball held Highline College scoreless in the opening quarter and cruised to a 20-point victory on the road. While the outcome was never in question after the Clippers' opening quarter shutout, Highline attempted to mount a comeback by outscoring the Clippers by three in the second quarter.

On the offensive side of the floor, sophomore Honey Let Padasdao converted all three of her three-point attempts in the first half en route to a team-high 10 points in the first half. Payten Foster led the scoring charge for the Clippers in the second half, scoring 11 points on 4-7 shooting.

Combining Foster's scoring punch with their pressure defense, the Clippers cruised to a 66-46 victory over the Thunderbirds. The victory moved the Clippers to 7-2 in west region play and 16-7 on the season.

With three games remaining in west region play, SPSCC punched their ticket to the NWAC tournament for the second year in a row under head coach Darah Vining.
