OLYMPIA, Wash. - Anyone who has watched the Clippers over the past two seasons knows that Sharay Trotter is among the most impactful players ever to wear an SPSCC jersey. The 2022-23 season saw Sharay lead the Northwest Athletic Conference in scoring at 20.3 points per game and topping the 36-team conference in steals at 4.4 per game. 

Trotter, named the NWAC west region's Defensive Player of the Year after her freshman season, has secured the award for a second consecutive season. Back-to-back Defensive Player of the Year awards aside, Trotter was selected as the west region's Player of the Year following her stellar sophomore campaign.
