South Puget Sound Community College is proud to announce that Clipper Women’s Basketball student-athlete Taylor Teeple was named to the NWAC Team of the Week for the week of December 30-January 5.
Teeple was instrumental in the Clipper WBB’s wins over Douglas, Everett, and Big Bend during the Skagit Holiday Classic Tournament at the beginning of the year. Teeple averaged 24.7 points, 11.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game and shot 60% from the floor during those three games.
“It feels good and I’m just glad that I get to [play] with great teammates,” said Teeple about her Team of the Week award.
Overall, Teeple is averaging 17.1 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in her 17 games played so far. WBB Head Coach Darah Vining has been relying on her sophomore forward/center as the women’s team has been nothing short of brilliant this season.
“She’s been really locking down. We’ve talked about the things that she needs to do as a sophomore and one of our leading scorers, and she’s accepted that challenge,” said Coach Vining about Teeple. “This last week of performances really show how locked in she is.”
Congrats, Taylor!
