The Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) has revealed its selections for the 2024 Women's Soccer All-Stars, which are voted upon by the head coaches in each respective region. South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) is proud to announce that two members of the Clipper Women's Soccer Team were selected for Second Team All-Star honors for the West Region. Freshman Goalkeeper Jenna Browse and Freshman Midfielder/Defender Samantha Spencer were the players that were chosen to represent SPSCC for the All-Star Team.
"Jenna put in a tremendous amount of work last year when she redshirted due to concussion protocol. She continued to grow her goalkeeping skills during this season. She had staggering stats of saves made during the season to keep opposing goals to a minimum," said Assistant Coach Jamie Olsen about Browse's performance this season.
Olsen also spoke about the work that Spencer put in this season. "Sam is a player that coaches wish we could have 10 more copies of on the field. She exemplifies the self sacrifice a centerback goes through when willing to stop any ball getting past her and to the goalkeeper. She has a 'never back down' personality that we can’t wait to see come back next year and continue to anchor our backline," mentioned Olsen.
Congratulations to all of the ladies that made the All-Star teams!
