Volleyball Hosts Dig Pink Night to Raise Awareness for Breast Cancer

OLYMPIA, Wash. - Friday night marked a special event for women's volleyball as they hosted their version of "Dig Pink Night." According to The Side-Out Foundation's website, "Dig Pink events are for volleyball programs that want to have an impact on and off the court. Anyone can raise awareness, but we believe true advocacy comes from giving people the opportunity to be involved in change."

The South Puget Sound volleyball program stepped up and did its part to raise awareness and money for The Side-Out Foundation and breast cancer research. There were giveaways for the first 25 students who attended, giveaways and raffles. All the funds raised during Dig Pink Night were directly donated to The Side-Out Foundation. In addition to their work with The Side-Out Foundation, the Clippers took care of business on the court! SPSCC swept the visiting Green River College Gators in three sets, all while wearing awesome pink jerseys!
