Auburn, WASH. - South Puget Sound wasted no time in their match against Green River, taking the first set 25-12. Emily Snider led the charge with a team-high .389 attack percentage, including seven kills with no errors! Green River would bounce back in the second set and claim the victory 25-15, but the Clippers continued to push ahead and took the final two sets 25-14 and 25-21, respectively. Following the match, Coach Kuaea shared, "The Clippers played a great match against the Green River Gators. Libero Talynn Wheeler showed out in the back row with 14 digs and two kills."
TIE BREAKER
With their victory Wednesday night, the Clippers notched their eleventh win of the season and possibly earned themselves a tie for fourth place in the west region final standings. With a Centralia College victory over Tacoma Community College on Friday night, the Clippers would find themselves tied for fourth with Tacoma for the fourth and final postseason berth. Despite possibly finishing the season with identical regional records, the Titans of Tacoma Community College would earn the final tournament berth due to a league tie-breaker. Despite being eliminated from the tournament, this year's team was exceptional and showed an amazing amount of fight despite numerous critical injuries! The eleven wins are the most for the program since the 2016-17 season and prove that Coach Kuaea has the program headed in the right direction.
