The Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) recently announced their selections for the Volleyball All-Region teams. South Puget Sound Community College is proud to reveal that three members of the Clipper Volleyball team were selected to the All-Region teams for the West Region. Sophomore Outside Hitter Katelyn White was selected to the First Team, Sophomore Setter Caelyn Marshall was named to the Second Team, and Sophomore Outside Hitter Brooklynn Thesenvitz got Third Team honors.

Here's what our Clipper Volleyball players had to say about their selections to the All-Region squads:

Brooklynn Thesenvitz — "I'm really excited! I think it's really cool to have this accolade. I worked really hard during the season and obviously all of my teammates helped me with everything as well. It wasn't just me. So, I think it goes for everybody; we all could have a place on the All-Region team. I feel honored that I got picked. Overall, I had a really good experience here, this being my first and last year here. It was really fun season and I'm excited to see who is on [the All-Region list] next year."

Katelyn White — "It feels so great! I'm so excited about it. I'm really proud for everyone that made First Team, Third Team, Second Team, all of it! All of us put in a lot of work in preseason … We had practice three times a day [and we] came in ready to go, putting the work in during practice and over the summer, doing workouts, eating healthy. Everything you do affects how you play and the team environment."

Caelyn Marshall — "Obviously it's very exciting. It's just dope, it's awesome. I think everyone deserved a spot on the All-Region Team, but I feel like Brooklynn making Third Team and Katie making First Team are well deserved. [They are] two of the biggest pieces of our team as a whole; with our libero, obviously you can't set without a great passer, and whether you are a great setter or not, you need a good hitter. Katie White took that First Team spot and I think she deserved it more than anyone else in this conference. She put the ball away. She's a baller. I think that we all worked really hard together and all three of us needed each other to depend on in order to make a spot on the team."

Congrats go out to all of those who were selected to the All-Region Teams!
