Clippers Drop Regional Matchup with Green River

OLYMPIA, Wash. - Men's basketball opened their Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) regional schedule with a matchup against the Green River College Gators. The Gators entered the matchup as the #4 ranked team in the latest NWAC Coach's poll.

Alejandro Cybak opened the game with a baseline jump shot to give the Clippers the early lead. After that, the Clippers and Gators exchanged the lead throughout most of the first half, with Justin Hicks and Hayden Wakefield each scoring nine points. However, despite the duo's scoring, the Clippers found themselves down by nine at halftime. Jason Montes and Jazen Guillory led SPSCC's second-half comeback attempt with seven combined assists. Still, the Clippers could only connect on one of their ten three-point attempts in the second half, and the Gators held on for a 15-point win.
