On a night when shots weren't falling early, SPS found a way to hold their advantage: they outrebounded Portland 44-27, including grabbing 17 offensive boards. They also had 18 steals on their way to causing 26 turnovers.

"We finished strong and stayed disciplined in the 4th quarter," said head coach Darah Vining. "We weren't hitting our shots tonight but to stay disciplined at get those steals at the end, that was huge for us."

The Clippers were led in scoring by Sharay Trotter (12) and Jennie Goldsberry (11). Goldsberry also snagged 11 boards to finish with her second double-double in as many games.
