Women's Soccer Scores Once in Opening Match

The first match of the season opened with a bang on Wednesday night at the RAC! Yesica Pena scored off a pass from Karma Valentine in the third minute to give the Clippers a one-nil lead. The ladies battled the heat (89°) from the start of the match but played incredibly hard the entire ninety minutes.

Coach Mader shared that when asked about her team's performance, "I was proud of how we battled tonight. We had some injuries, and with the heat, we fought hard. Tonight was a great starting point... We've got a lot to work on, but it will be an exciting season!"

The Clippers' next match is on the road at the NWAC Friendlies on August 23rd and 24th. The NWAC Friendlies will occur at the Starfire Soccer Complex in Tukwila, Washington.
