Women's Soccer Opens Road Trip at Blue Mountain

PENDLETON, Ore. - South Puget Sound Women's Soccer opened their latest road trip with a matchup versus the Blue Mountain Community College Timberwolves. The Clippers entered with a 1-2-0 record on the young season, and the Timberwolves brought a 1-1-0 record to the match.

After an early goal from BMCC's Mercedes Escobar, the match headed to halftime with SPSCC down 1-0. However, after Blue Mountain scored their second goal in the fifty-fourth minute, the Clipper's offense started to click as Isabella Landers scored her first goal of the season in the sixty-first minute. Despite a spirited rally from Laners and the Clippers, they would fall to Blue Mountain 2-1.

Coach Rebecca Mader shared, "This was the best we have played so far this year as a team. We were shifting as a unit and communicating much better. We just need to get on the end of some balls in the box, and we'll be seeing different results!"
